Terms of Service

Last updated: April 19, 2026

Welcome to Studora. These Terms are the agreement between you and Studora. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Studora.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Studora. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (18 in most US states), by using Studora you represent that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think your account has been accessed without your permission. One person, one account — don't share logins.

3. What you put in

Everything you enter into Studora — your courses, activities, awards, reflections, and so on — is yours. You grant us a limited license to store and display it so we can run the service for you (and show it to supervisors you've invited). We do not claim ownership of your content.

You're responsible for the content you put in. Don't enter anything you don't have the right to share, and don't use Studora to harass, threaten, or harm others.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, at our discretion.

5. Premium subscriptions

Premium is a paid subscription billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Billing → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you won't be billed again, but we don't pro-rate or refund partial months.

We may change Premium pricing or features with reasonable notice — typically at least 30 days by email. If you don't agree to a change, you can cancel before it takes effect.

Premium AI features are rate-limited (currently 30 AI requests per day per account). We may adjust this limit if needed to keep the service stable and affordable.

6. AI output

Studora's AI features are provided for convenience and should not be treated as admissions advice, legal advice, or a substitute for professional guidance. AI models can be wrong. Review and verify anything that matters. You are responsible for what you do with the output.

7. Cancellation and deletion

You can cancel your Premium subscription anytime from Billing. You can delete your account anytime from Profile → Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and immediate; see the Privacy Policy for details on backups and retention.

8. Disclaimers

Studora is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your needs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studora's total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, email active users at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
